Paws Made™ Mini Power Paws Pocket

The Mini Power Paws Pocket is a compact, UK-made interactive reward toy, designed to make rewarding your dog during training more accurate, engaging and fun.

Part of our Paws Made range of handmade dog toys, it combines our popular Mini Paws Pocket with a weighted Power Ball, creating a smaller, easy-to-conceal training reward that still packs plenty of functionality.

Originally introduced at our Paws Made 2023 production day, the Mini Power Paws Pocket was developed following requests for a smaller version of our original Power Paws Pocket.

What is a Paws Pocket?

The idea is simple: place your dog's favourite treats inside the pocket and use the toy as an interactive reward during training and play.

The Paws Pocket features three fabric petals secured with VELCRO®, allowing you to hide treats inside and adjust how easily your dog can open the pocket.

Rather than always delivering a treat directly from your hand, a Paws Pocket allows you to throw the reward away from you, helping make training more engaging and giving you another way to reward your dog exactly where you want them.

Once your dog reaches the pocket, they can open the petals and retrieve their treats from inside.

What Makes the Mini Power Paws Pocket Different?

The Mini Power Paws Pocket combines our smallest Paws Pocket with a weighted Power Ball.

The original Power Paws Pocket was developed to solve a common problem with lightweight treat toys: they aren't always easy to throw accurately.

Lightweight pockets can get caught by the wind, land somewhere you didn't intend or roll away from the desired reward location.

The addition of the Power Ball gives the pocket extra weight, making it easier to throw accurately while also helping to anchor the toy once it lands.

This allows your dog to focus on retrieving their treats without the pocket constantly moving around.

One of the biggest advantages of the Mini Power Paws Pocket is its compact design.

Following requests from customers who loved the original Power Paws Pocket but wanted something smaller, we developed this version to offer the same weighted throwing concept in a more convenient size.

The smaller pocket makes the toy easier to carry and conceal during training, particularly when you want to keep a reward hidden until the perfect moment.

Despite its compact size, it still offers the same key benefits:

• Improved stability: The ball helps anchor the pocket once it lands, reducing unwanted movement.

• Easy to conceal: The Mini Paws Pocket is compact enough to hide away until your dog has earned their reward.

Designed for Reward-Based Training

Dogs are motivated by different things. Some love food, others love toys, and plenty enjoy a combination of both.

The Mini Power Paws Pocket brings these elements together by turning a food reward into an interactive game.

It's particularly useful when you want to reward your dog away from you, encourage movement towards a particular location or introduce an exciting reward during training.

Whether it's a reward after a great recall, part of an agility training session or simply a different way to engage with your dog, the Mini Power Paws Pocket is designed to make the reward part of the fun.

Developed and Tested with Dogs

Before joining our Paws Made range, the Mini Power Paws Pocket underwent over two months of testing with dogs.

This gave us the opportunity to see how the smaller design performed during real training sessions and helped us develop a practical reward toy that combines accurate throwing with the benefits of our original Paws Pocket.

Paws Made™ is our own range of dog toys, designed with real dogs, training and interactive play in mind.

Our toys are made here in the UK, with an emphasis on practical designs, quality materials and products that are genuinely useful rather than simply looking good on a shelf.

The Mini Power Paws Pocket is another example of this approach, taking an established design and adapting it to offer something a little different for dogs and handlers.

Important

The Mini Power Paws Pocket is designed for supervised, interactive training and reward-based play. It is not designed to be used as a chew toy.

Although every toy is checked before dispatch, no fabric toy is indestructible. Its lifespan will depend on your dog's individual play style and how the toy is used.

Always supervise your dog during play, regularly inspect the toy for signs of wear or damage and discontinue use if it becomes damaged.

As with all Paws Made toys, it should be removed from your dog once your training or play session has finished.
